In reality, whilst DIY KITS can be installed by the home or property owner, this is definitely not a project for the first time DIYer. If you don’t have construction or building experience (or have access to someone who has), we strongly recommend the installation be completed by an experienced installer.
Yes, engaging the services of an experienced installer will mean a labour cost. However, you will undoubtedly save time and frustration by trying to do it all yourself and importantly, the installation will be carried out in accordance with Australian Building Standards and potentially, your home insurance will cover the structure in the event of damage during a storm etc.
We recommend that installation should be carried out by at least 2 persons and in some instances, where longer spans are being used, more than 2 persons is recommended.
